Launching New Sessions for the QS Engineer Program and the Leadership cum Chief Trainer Training Course

First Session of the QS Engineer Course

The QS engineer course was officially launched with more than 40 participants. This course aims to equip learners with: 

  • An understanding of the roles and responsibilities typical of a QS in the façade sector. 
  • Fundamental knowledge in Contracts & Finance to manage financial tasks and contract execution with investors, subcontractors, and suppliers. 
  • Skills to accurately calculate the total volume of construction work for project items. 
  • The ability to manage construction materials effectively. 
  • Competence in controlling settlement quantities and variations with subcontractors and suppliers. 
  • Confidence in negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers.

 

The inaugural QS Engineer session, led by BM Windows' internal instructors, was titled “Portrait of a QS Engineer” and presented by Mr. Dang Kim Tan, Project Director. Utilizing his knowledge and practical experience, Mr. Dang effectively outlined the QS engineer's profile, making a strong impression. The lively discussions among students contributed to an engaging learning atmosphere.  

Moreover, Mr. Tran Thanh Dung and Mr. Vo Trang Thang, both Executive Directors, shared insights and motivated students to pursue their goals of becoming proficient QS engineers. 

The QS Engineer course consists of 9 sessions, culminating in a multiple-choice examination. Participants who score at least 7 out of 10 will be awarded a certificate and officially complete the course. 

Leadership cum Chief Trainer Course

8 Board of Directors members have commenced the “Leadership cum Chief Trainer” program with Alain Goudsmet, an expert with over 20 years of coaching experience with the Belgian Olympic team and global corporations.

 

This program is a specialized training course tailored specifically for business leaders and executives. It focuses on themes aimed at systematically harnessing "The Strength derived from building a cohesive team, fostering continuous breakthroughs beyond personal limits, and ensuring constant feedback."

 

The program includes 3 coaching sessions from March to May 2024, blending learning with practical application. This initiative is designed to lay the foundation for the Executive Board to develop successive “dream teams.”
